Whats in that bag at the back of your cupboard????

Its the first Wednesday of the month next week……yes we are into October. How many projects have you got in a bag pushed to the back of a cupboard that are ongoing for Christmas presents….starting to panic you won’t get it finished. One solution might be to bring it down to the Den on Wednesday afternoon. The kettle will be on and biscuits at the ready. You can use my stamp set and punches if you would like to but need to provide your own adhesive, card and ink. Bring your knitting or crochet, (although I am unlikely to be of help if you are stuck!) even your sewing, I have plugs for sewing machines. Whatever craft you participate in you are welcome to bring it along.

Whatever your project pop down into the Den its a lovely relaxing creative space with lots of light. Hope to see you there on Wednesday 4th October.

How busy are you this week?

I ask you this question as I think we have some amazing classes in the Den over the next few weeks. Starting tomorrow with card and a cuppa – 2 cards will be available for you to make. Only £2 for each make. Join me in The Secret Cafe, no need to book, pop in between 9.30 and 11.00 Tomorrow we are water colouring.

Tomorrow afternoon we will be making a lovely accordion gift box. This is ideal for those gift vouchers but I have bought biscuits and fruity teabags to fill it with so can also be used for that unusual small gift for that friend.

Next Saturday its the Painted Harvest workshop. Three makes, the home decor plaque, the accordion  gift box and a secret project, I will give you a hint …… it involves a chocolate orange.  Its too late to order the stamp set to use in the class but could be ordered on the day so you can go home and make more. My stamp set will be there for those who haven’t ordered one.  I will take bookings for the class until Friday lunchtime. There are only 3 seats left. (use the workshop tab above and scroll to the bottom of the page). Enjoy the pictures of what we will be making this week.

Painted Harvest

The next project class is fast approaching. It uses the Stampin’Up Painted Harvest stamp set and punch along with the designer paper. This is one of the projects we will make on the day alongside a box of mini cards. I always enjoy creating home decor pieces and I think this will come out every autumn. If you would like a place that includes the stamp set bundle I will need to order them from Stampin’Up on Saturday so that they arrive on time. Booking just for the class will remain open until the day before. You can book online using the workshop tab, scroll to the bottom of the page!

Cheery Chirps stained glass.

As promised I have the pictures of the makes for the Sweet and Simple workshop on 7th October. These are a lovely make for those new to stamping and for experienced crafters this would be a relaxing easy morning.  I love both colourways and I couldn’t decide which is my favourite….which do you like best the cold blue or the warm neutrals?

Pictures of the makes for the Painted Harvest on 30th September will be here tomorrow. Hope to see some more of you tomorrow for card and a cuppa or for class in the afternoon making the exploding box.

A new week….

Just a busy Tuesday in the Den this week. In the morning its Card and a Cuppa in The Secret Cafe, I have gone a bit funky this week with bright colours and flamingoes. In the afternoon we are making a box within a box, in the papercrafting world it is know as an exploding box. Everything is die cut so it is a stamping and gluing session! We do have 2 spare seats this week so it would be lovely to have a couple of new faces.

I am working on the projects for Painted Harvest Project Day a week on Saturday. I will post pictures of some of those tomorrow. The Sweet and Simple class for next month has been bought forward a week as I have been offered a craft stall. We will be making 9 cards with a stained glass effect. This class is mostly about colouring, I have really enjoyed the colouring this weekend, I will make the cards up tomorrow and post the photos tomorrow. This is a lovely ‘Me’ time class.

Handmade Christmas

Its tonight, happy dance from me! Its the first christmas card making session. I love this I feel as if I am helping people get organised. The sooner that pile of Christmas cards is made the sooner you can get on with other things like the christmas cake.

Tonight we will make 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. Class is from 7pm – 9pm. Booking is essential but doesn’t close until 4 o clock this afternoon – book now either online or email. I have 4 spaces left.                                                                                                                   Join us take a couple of hours of me time and get ahead with your handmade christmas. See you later.

Welcome to all those lovely people who called at the stall in Todmorden last Saturday. I know the website has had lots of visitors this weekend…. the stats tell me that!  It was a lovely day in the methodist church, out of the rain and cold. And thank you for your support in purchases and lovely comments.

This week has ‘Card and a Cuppa’ tomorrow morning in The Secret Cafe followed by Tuesday afternoon class, we are using the new sunflower stamp to make three lovely cards. On Wednesday a session for experienced crafters. There will be some water-colouring plus 2 other cards, one  that requires the bigshot die cutting machine.

On Wednesday evening we start Christmas card making. This is the second class in the series but its not too late to start. We will make 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. There is a button on the workshops page so that you can book online. If you want any more details get in contact.

Finally next saturday morning its the first session of the Sweet and Simple classes. The focus of all the cards will be using sponges to ‘daub’ the backgrounds. We will make 6 cards, 2 each of three designs, but no cards will look alike!
