Exciting Orchids workshop

A week tomorrow, the 19th August is the workshop using the Orchids stamps and dies. It is now too late to order the stamps and dies to use them in class, but why not book for the class and try them out by using mine.

I promise you a day of continuous fun crafting –  Three projects –  and a possible fourth if we have time! That one I am keeping as a surprise.

Take a day of ME time and join the crafting fun in the den.

Orchids in the Den

Are you like me and love Orchids but find them a bit difficult to keep alive for more than a fortnight. On Saturday 19th we will be creating three projects using the Stampin’Up Orchid stamps and dies. We will make three projects including a beautiful monochrome box frame decor piece, then a set of 4 simple cards and a bag/box to put them in, finishing off with an unusual diorama. If we have time there may be a bonus project.

There are 3 price points but only 2 more days if you are wanting to purchase the stamps and dies. Come and spend a day relaxing and being creative.

Tea and coffee all day with biscuits or cake and we can lunch in the cafe or you are welcome to bring your own. Check out the workshop page for more detail (you will need to scroll to the bottom).

August is nearly here….

Its amazing how quickly the year is marching onwards. This week there is only the drop in session for ‘coffee and a card’ at the Secret Cafe on Tuesday morning, 9.30 – 11.00. The numbers at this session are growing, catch the action this week. Tuesday evening its session 4 of the beginners course after which the Den will be closed until Tuesday 15th August as my youngest son is getting married, down near Brighton. I’m so excited now that I have my frock and all the table decorations are finished, phew that was a big job!

The new programme of classes will be updated during the closure. The Stampin’Up seasonal catalogue will be available from the Den from the 15th. There are some lovely stamp sets available once again so the Christmas card classes will start in September on a couple of evenings a month and finish in November with a full day. There is also lots of lovely heavy weight card which will be brilliant for making gift boxes. Watch the workshop page for more details.

The next Saturday class is 19th August when we will be creating lots of makes on an Orchid theme.

The Den is out and about again

This Sunday we will be  in Cragg Vale,

in the big car park at Dean Hey Business Park, Cragg Road – where Hebden Radio have their premises (by the Ark).  It’s in a stunning location.  There should be lots going on, come and have an afternoon out and see what is happening.

Next week continues on Tuesday with Coffee and card in ‘The Secret Cafe’. Tenterfields business park. This is a brillant opportunity to …have a go… We have had one lady new to crafting each week so far. There is ample opportunity to chat as well as drink and eat alongside the crafting! These are the makes from last week, pop in and see what we are making  next Tuesday morning. (no need to book drop in between 9.30 and 11.00)

Last Tuesday afternoon (1.30 – 3.30) we created fantastic covers for journals. Everyone really enjoyed the class and went home with a very individual notebook. This coming tuesday we will be making cards that feature orchids. Get in touch if you would like to join us.

And then there is Saturday 29th Christmas in July. Only 2 places left for the morning session.  (10 -12.30) Book soon to get your seat.

Hope to see you on Sunday afternoon. k x
