Tuesday…must be Card and a Cuppa

These Tuesdays do come round very quickly. This week we are back to birthdays, one floral and feminine, the other colourful and unisex. First outing for this stamp set but not the last! Join us between 9.30 and 11.00. No need to book, just drop into the Secret Cafe, across the cobbles from the Den.

In the afternoon we will be making the winter rose frame or a similar one that says Hello. I will show you that tomorrow.

Don’t forget about booking your children in for the half term children’s craft sessions.

Nothing to do today?

Pop along to Cliviger village hall. Cliviger is on the main road between Todmorden and Burnley. Its a pretty village with 2 pubs that look like they do great food, always busy when we have driven through. The craft fair is from12.00 – 3.30. It would be lovely to say hello to some faces I know.

I have a few halloween bits, a few christmas bits and some general makes. It feels a bit early to sell christmas cards, tags and bags but lots of people are not big on halloween. So I have tried to get a bit of balance. Just hope its busy .

Its a bit early…..

Its a bit early to be telling you about next Tuesday but I have had so much fun today creating the project, I thought I would show you. Its not cards. Its a home decor item. This is the first one and I am going to create a second which says ‘Hello’ then you can choose which one you would like to make. Now Tuesday afternoon is not a class that usually needs booking in advance but for this class if you are not a regular you do need to contact me and let me know you want to join in as there will be more than the usual preparation needed.

Big reveal, here is my winter rose.

Don’t sit at home and think I can’t do that, we will take it step by step and everyone who attends will go home with a finished picture they are really pleased with.

Leaves using wet wipes…

Its the start of another busy week in the Den. Tuesday card and a cuppa in The Secret Cafe is all ready with two cards one of which is about an ice cream cornet! In October!

Tuesday afternoon we are using a technique I don’t think we have used for over a year. We are going to use wet wipes as our ink pad. The vintage leaf stamp set is ideal for this technique. Do you make cards? never heard of this? then why not come along. We start at 1.30 and we have cake and tea half way through. We look forward to welcoming you.

Stained glass window effect..

There are only 2 seats left for Saturdays class making  8 Christmas cards. We will do some heat embossing on vellum which is really easy. For those new to paper crafting we will take it one step at a time.  Then it will be colouring in time, so relaxing. Message me for more details or book online via the workshop tab. An ideal class for beginners.

October is here!!!

Yes and I’m having to run to keep up with everything in the diary. Tomorrow Tuesday comes around again. Card and a Cuppa in The secret Cafe, drop in from 9.30 – 11.00 has cards with leaves. In the afternoon we have a lot of cats. They are made of paper and the cards they sit on are really pretty. We have 3 seats available tomorrow afternoon, get in contact or call in, you would be very welcome.

This first Wednesday of the month is BYOP, that means Bring Your Own Project. Have you got an unfinished ‘thing’ that you could do with completing before Christmas, then bring it down. Anything knitting, sewing, crochet, embroidery, paper crafting anything else you can think of. Join me in the Den, help yourself to tea/coffee and a biscuit and crack on with that unfinished project without distractions. Check the workshops page for times etc.

Don’t forget next Saturday its the Sweet and Simple card class. Make 8 cards using the stained glass window technique. A great class for those who love colouring and those who have little or no experience of card making.
