Tomorrow is the last ‘card and a cuppa’ in the Secret Cafe and the last Tuesday class. All will return on the 9th January. Our little Tuesday afternoon group would love to welcome a couple more members. New to paper crafting, enjoy cake then we are the group for you. Each week we complete a different style of project, we make cards, gifts, bags and boxes. All resources are provided, its only 2 hours but we still find time for cake and tea. Wednesday is also the last class for the 2nd Wednesday of the month class. Again we would welcome a few more people looking for a monthly paper crafting opportunity. This class is more for experienced crafters however, whatever your ability, everyone is there to help and everyone will go home with a finished quality project. Pictures below of what we are making this month, and its not christmas related! Then next Saturday is the last opportunity to make the christmas frame, I only have a few frames left so get booked on as soon as possible and your name will be attached to your kit. See workshop tab above.
Its nearly here….. I have a really wow project to finish off the season in the Den.
I showed the prototype for this at card and a cuppa this morning, all the ladies loved it and have booked for one of the sessions. Next Saturday the 9th and Saturday 16th, see the workshop page for times and the button to book. Booking is important so that I can ensure I have enough frames.
It will take about an hour to complete the project. To accommodate more people this is a come and make session, when you arrive you start. What a lovely decoration.
So excited to welcome Lisa to the Den tomorrow evening. I hope she knows just how bad I am at anything to do with arranging flowers or similar. She certainly has her work cut out with me. At the moment we still have a couple of places left. Get your gardening gloves on – to deal with the holly! and join us to make your own christmas wreath.
What a brilliant Tuesday I have had. I started this morning with card and a cuppa, we only made one card but we did make 2 christmas trees, which not only the ladies who came to craft in the Secret Cafe loved but so did lots of others who only came for coffee. I now have a little forest on my sideboard.
If you fancy having a go at a couple of christmas cards pop down next Tuesday, from 9.30 – 11am. £2 per item made (2 trees counted as one item).
Its the christmas wreath making class on Thursday evening. There are still a few places left. Book online today. Use the workshops tab above and scroll to the bottom of the page. You will need your gardening gloves to deal with the holly!
Tomorrow its ‘card and a cuppa’ in The Secret Cafe on Tenterfields. As there are only 4 more ‘card and a cuppa’ left, tomorrow we are making christmas cards, A bit of sparkle and a very large stamp, so we are going to use a brayer! Pop down between 9.30 and 11.00 and learn all.
Tomorrow afternoon we are making 3 cards. We will be creating 3 stunning backgrounds, using techniques we have done before but not for a long time. Message me if you would like to join us, we have tea and cake, lots of chat and everyone gets as little or as much help as they need.
Other than the regular Tuesday and Wednesday classes there are only 4 big classes left for this year. The Star book that I detailed yesterday, the following Thursday is the Christmas wreath making class with Lisa. She will be busy next week collecting all the greenery from her garden and various suppliers. She does recommend you bring your gardening gloves as the Holly can be a bit tricky. This is a class I will be taking part in I have always wanted to make my own for the front door rather than buy one. Book online if you would like a go, I expect this class to be full.
On Saturday the 2nd of December Clare Rowlands is making a return to the Den. With her whimsical style she has created a little postbox. We will probably be making this in blues rather than reds and using her stamp of the ice skating mouse. Her new range of Christmas stamps are beautiful. Again book online as places are limited. If you would like to order stamps from her please get in contact.
The following Saturday December 9th its Sweet and Simple, we will be making packaging in beautiful papers. More of this one another day.
Last night the Den was at Wainstalls Primary School. What a lovely little school it is. We were welcomed in, offered tea and coffee, the tables were laid out and labelled, so well organised. I had a lovely evening talked to lots of people and sold a few things too. Thank you to everyone involved.
Next week its card and a cuppa on Tuesday in the cafe, Tuesday afternoon class where we will also be making cards this week. On Friday the Den is out and about again at Luddendenfoot playgroup in the morning and Scout Road Primary in the evening.
Then on Saturday its the Star Book class. There are only 2 places left for this annual event. Those who have seen the star book before think this one is the best ever. Come and see what you think.
